Configure PPTP VPN in Mac OS X 10.x (Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion or Mountain Lion)

  1. From Mac OS X 10.x click Top Left Apple Icon, then click "System Preferences" menu item, and in opened Window, click to "Network" icon;
  2. In opened Network window, click on the "+" button at bottom left corner, and in the next opened window, input the following:
  3. Interface: "VPN"
  4. VPN Type: "PPTP"
  5. Service Name: VPNMe PPTP"
  6. Click "Create" button;
  7. In the next window, enter the VPNMe Server information as shown in our VPN web page at format of xx.vpnme.me ( replace xx with server id like us or de ), use Automatic for Encryption, then click "Apply" button;
  8. Click the "Advanced" button and under the Options tab make sure to check Send all traffic over VPN Connection option, click "OK" button, click "Apply" button again;
  9. Now click "Connect" button in the middle of the window, from the Internet Connect window, enter username (like "vpnme") as VPN username and VPN password found from this website and click “OK” button to start your free VPN connection;
  10. Visit Check IP page to check your new IP address
